SANDY, Utah (Thursday, April 6, 2017) – Real Salt Lake and Special Olympics kick off their joint 2017 MLS campaign with the team’s official “signing day” for the RSL Unified Soccer Team tomorrow, Friday, April 7, 2017 at Rio Tinto Stadium and nearby America First Field. Festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. MT and should conclude at approximately 12 noon MT.
RSL’s Unified Team will see the return several of its inaugural season players from last year’s 2016 season, with new and returning players signing their 2017 contracts, enduring team talks from Team Administrator Taymour Roushdi and Head Coach Jenna Holland, getting the first look at their 2017 uniforms and joining Real Salt Lake – including new Head Coach Mike Petke – following the MLS club’s Friday training session for a joint photo at America First Field in Sandy.
