Goalkeeper Zac MacMath has recorded six saves during that time, including four in the last match against Seattle Sounders FC. Additionally, MacMath has now earned seven clean sheets in 15 matches for Real Salt Lake.

Player Milestones

Goalkeeper Zac MacMath is also just eight saves away from reaching the achievement of 450 career saves.

The Homegrown Returns

The match will mark midfielder Scott Caldwell’s first time returning to New England since signing with RSL as a free agent this past offseason. Caldwell signed a homegrown contract with New England in 2012 and immediately became a staple in their midfield. Playing nine seasons for the Eastern Conference club, he appeared in 229 matches, started in 175, and tallied over 15,000 minutes.

New England Roster Changes

Real Salt Lake has not faced the New England Revolution since 2019, the match finishing in a 0-0 draw. Since then New England has made several roster changes, including the addition of three US Men’s National Team players in forward Jozy Altidore, defender Omar Gonzalez and midfielder Sebastian Lletget, all added during the 2022 offseason.

Connections: Real Salt Lake midfielder Scott Caldwell signed with the Club as a free agent in the offseason after spending nine seasons with New England Revolution. Additionally, RSL Head Coach Pablo Mastroeni played for New England Head Coach Bruce Arena on the United States Men’s National Team from 2001-2006, including the 2002 and 2006 World Cups.
