SANDY, UTAH (Tuesday, December 20, 2022) – Real Salt Lake and Major League Soccer today unveiled their 2023 MLS regular-season game schedule for the Claret-and-Cobalt’s 19th season. The team will spend its first two weeks on the road with its season opener on Saturday, February 25 at Vancouver Whitecaps FC followed by a matchup in Pacific Northwest on Saturday, March 4 at Seattle Sounders.
A glut of home games at America First Field in Sandy – five of seven and seven out of 10 – commence with Real Salt Lake’s home opener on Saturday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. MT, during which it welcomes recent postseason foe, Austin FC.

Real Salt Lake enters the 2023 season on the heels of back-to-back playoff appearances & a 9-3-5 record at home in Utah during the 2022 season.
In the second & third home games of the year, RSL welcomes the first-ever Utah visits for each of Major League Soccer’s most recent expansion sides, as 2023 debutant St. Louis City SC arrives on Saturday, March 25 and 2022 inductee Charlotte FC is welcomed to Utah on Saturday, April 8.
RSL’s 2023 schedule consists of 34 MLS regular-season games, with 27 contests against Western Conference opponents. Of the Club’s seven games against East coast clubs, four occur at home, with a trio of road trips to Columbus (April 1), D.C. United (June 17) and Toronto FC (July 1). East teams arriving on the Wasatch Front in 2023 include Charlotte, New York City FC, Orlando City FC and the New York Red Bulls.
Real Salt Lake will conclude regular season play on the road at the Colorado Rapids for “Decision Day” on Saturday, October 21.
This year the Claret-and-Cobalt will look to qualify for the 2023 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, the postseason tournament which RSL has qualified for in four of the last five years. The 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs commence on October 28 and run through to MLS Cup on Dec. 9, with the competition format and specific dates to be announced later this season.
