REAL SALT LAKE LOANS NIGERIAN STRIKER VICTOR OLATUNJI TO SK BEVEREN OF BELGIAN PRO LEAGUE
HERRIMAN, Utah (Friday, September 4, 2026) – Real Salt Lake has loaned Nigerian striker Victor Olatunji to SK Beveran of the Belgian Pro League for the remainder of their 2026/27 season. Olatunji arrived in Utah in the summer of 2025, via permanent transfer from Sparta Prague (Czech Republic), appearing in 28 matches across all competitions with the Major League Soccer side, scoring five goals.
Olatunji, who celebrates his 27th birthday on Saturday, scored his lone goal of 2026 on March 22 at San Diego, his 85th-minute equalizer rescuing a point in a match RSL initially led 1-0. Last fall, the imposing forward found the back of the net four times in nine appearances, including a “Decision Day” brace in a 2-2 draw at St. Louis.
RSL now hosts Western Conference rival Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) this Saturday, Sept. 5, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. MT on Apple TV. Four of RSL’s next six matches during the month of September will be played at America First Field, where RSL owns a 10-2-2 (W-L-T) record across all competitions this year, with a dominant 18-5-4 (W-L-T) mark in Sandy since June 1, 2025.
