“This is all about the fans, who can watch RSL on-the-go wherever they choose; people can now view in-Stadium replays on their devices at both our venues thanks to our Red Sky wi-fi upgrades, and always be connected around the clock to our club, our players and our coaches, 24/7 from the palm of their hands,” said RSL Owner Dell Loy Hansen, noting that’s pacesetting marketplace section will also serve as a primary ticketing outlet for RSL and Utah Royals FC games at Rio Tinto Stadium as well as Real Monarchs matches at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman. “Technology is rapidly developing, and we believe that KSL TV has created a best-in-class app experience for both live and on-demand content, which will deepen our fans’ accessibility and connection across the globe.”

Live game streaming on KSL kicks off with Real Salt Lake’s 2018 MLS opener on Saturday, March 3, 2018, the Claret-and-Cobalt visiting Toyota Field in Frisco, Texas, to face Western Conference rival FC Dallas at 5:30p MT.

“Aligning our two organizations is a perfect match,” said Tanya Vea, Vice President/General Manager of KSL.  “When it comes to big thinking and innovative strategy, RSL and KSL are leading the way. Our users and viewers expect the best. KSL’s delivery of the latest and greatest sports entertainment and information to people’s hands – including those who use free streaming devices and are looking to keep pace with their busy lives – will ensure that they have instant and enhanced access to RSL.”

In the new partnership with KSL, RSL’s 33 regional livestream windows own a 3-hour duration, including the club-produced 30-minute pre-game show as well as a half-hour post-game wrap-up.  In addition to each live game offering, every Tuesday throughout the 2018 season features an ”RSL on KSL” magazine show titled “OnFrame” (starting with the debut on Feb. 27), as well as the weekly “Mike Petke Show,” hosted by Brian Dunseth. The digital video partnership will also highlight vignettes and long-form pieces exploring the club’s commitment to the community, while telling the stories and outlining the personalities that compose the Claret-and-Cobalt pyramid from top to bottom.

Joining Dunseth each week in the KSL studio is the long-time radio/TV play-by-play voice of the club, Bill Riley from ESPN700 AM, and RSL’s sideline reporter, Rebecca Cade. Other personalities – including Utah Royals FC Head Coach Laura Harvey, Monarchs boss Mark Briggs, as well as players from all the club’s teams and around the world of soccer – will join the shows each week to explore the issues on and off the field affecting the sport in Utah and beyond.

KSL.COM TICKET SALES MARKETPLACE: RSL Chief Business Officer Andy Carroll and Deseret Digital Media President Greg Peterson also jointly announced today that individual game tickets for all three professional teams’ games played at either of the club’s venues – Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy or Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman – via the KSL Classifieds section

“In our home region, KSL has long clearly established itself as the largest classifieds marketplace,” said Carroll, noting that individual game tickets for all 17 home games of Real Salt Lake’s 2018 season are now on sale – as is the entire 17-game Real Monarchs schedule at Zions Bank Stadium, including the venue’s March 31 inaugural game – and the NWSL Utah Royals FC inaugural game on April 14 at Rio Tinto Stadium. “Millions of monthly visits from Utah and the surrounding area converge on a large, interested audience, many of whom will to make their first-ever soccer ticketing purchase.”

As part of the agreement between Real Salt Lake’s three teams, the classifieds marketplace will be supported by an exclusive content vertical combining articles, features and multimedia assets from various Deseret Digital Media sources and the syndication of other club-related content.

“The synergy between our two local companies creates this awesome opportunity for both new and existing sports fans to be ‘super-served’ on multiple levels,” said Deseret Digital Media President Greg Peterson, noting the reach of DDM’s 6,000,000 monthly unique visitors. “Part of the DDM mission is to align actions to demonstrate the value of our products to our users, and the partnership with Real Salt Lake, Utah Royals FC and Real Monarchs professional teams, world-class venues and youth development and community initiatives provides a unique and unprecedented opportunity for our users and fans.”
