RSL v LA GALAXY PREVIEW
Real Salt Lake (5-7-4, 19 pts., 9th West MLS) now focuses on avenging last week’s disappointing home loss to the Galaxy and recapturing its legendary home form, with both matches this week – including Saturday’s MLS contest against visiting New York City FC – played on Utah soil, where RSL historically has earned nearly 2.00 points per game with a .700 winning percentage – after Head Coach Pablo Mastroeni’s side has earned 10 road points in four away games in the last two weeks.
Since April 8, RSL has recorded seven wins, three losses and four draws in its last 14 games across multiple competitions, as the pair of games to be played this week will push the slate of schedule congestion to 16 games in two months across MLS and Open Cup action, during which Mastroeni and the RSL staff have used 25 different players.
