HERRIMAN, UT (Saturday, February 18, 2023) – Real Salt Lake has traded the Major League Soccer rights to former loanee FW Sergio Cordova to Vancouver in exchange for potentially $300,000 total General Allocation Money (GAM) and the Whitecaps’ First-Round pick in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft.
This transaction guarantees RSL $200,000 in 2023/24 GAM. Should Cordova start at least five regular-season matches during the 2023 and/or 2024 seasons for Vancouver, RSL would receive an additional $100,000 in conditional GAM (2025) from Whitecaps FC.
