Scoring twice against San Antonio to solidify his three goals in two matches claim was midfielder Sebastian Velasquez. The Colombian midfielder was a menace for the hosts to deal with in the middle of the park, generating two individual goals in an effort to mount a comeback on two separate occasions in the match.
Telling Stat: 56%. The Monarchs again won the aerial duels battle in a frustrating night in Texas. The Monarchs fought to win the battles in the air, nearly scoring a headed second half goal while doing its due diligence on the defensive side of the ball as well.
What You Missed: The Monarchs have now failed to beat San Antonio in its last three meetings between the sides with the Utah side last beating SAFC late in the 2016 season.
