Former USL Cup Champion Arrives in Utah for Remainder of 2018 Season

HERRIMAN, Utah (Friday, August 17, 2018) Real Monarchs SLC have acquired GK Adam Grinwis on loan from Orlando City SC for the remainder of the 2018 season, General Manager Dan Egner announced today. Orlando City SC will retain the right to recall Grinwis at any point.

Grinwis, 25, spent time with the Rochester Rhinos in 2015 and 2016, helping the Rhinos to the 2015 United Soccer League Regular-Season Championship and USL Cup. Grinwis spent the 2017 USL season with Saint Louis FC where he made 61 saves in 14 appearances to register five clean sheets. A University of Michigan alumnus, Grinwis appeared in 68 matches over four years as a Wolverine and was named Michigan Club Man of the Year as a fifth-year senior in 2014. He also earned Second Team All-Big Ten and All-Big Ten Tournament selections in 2012. Grinwis finished his college career with the second-most career saves (261) and shutouts in a season (6).
