Pablo Ruiz and Justen Glad Named to Team of the Matchday

Real Salt Lake midfielder Pablo Ruiz and Homegrown defender **Justen Glad** have been named to the MLSsoccer.com’s Major League Soccer Team of the Matchday for Matchday 24 following the team’s 4-0 home win over Orlando City. Ruiz was named to the starting XI, while Glad earned a spot on the Team of the Matchday bench.

Ruiz was magical in the midfield for Real Salt Lake against Orlando, becoming the first RSL player since 2012 to record three assists in a single match.

The midfielder’s performance also has him up for MLS Player of the Week, and fans can vote for him below:

The first assist brought America First Field to its feet, as the Argentine delivered the perfect cross to give Club-record signing **Chicho Arango** his first RSL goal on his Claret-and-Cobalt debut. Ruiz followed that up with another beautiful cross that found the head of Glad, who flicked the ball back into the net, giving the Homegrown his career-high fourth MLS goal of the season.

The third and final assist came after RSL’s third goal scored by **Jefferson Savarino** that put a cherry on top of a wonderful team display. Ruiz won the ball back in the midfield before slotting a perfect pass to **Anderson Julio** who calmly scored his second goal in consecutive matches to seal RSL’s 4-0 win.
