If you have been following RSL this season, it will come as no surprise that they have been struggling with red cards. In just the first three weeks of the season, Real has received three red cards, with Jamison Olave and Kyle Beckerman both seeing red the last game in Portland. The question has been thrown out whether or not RSL is struggling with discipline.
James Edward from The Desert News talked to RSL Head Coach Jeff Cassar about this exact question.
“At the end of the day, I can’t say don’t ever tackle anybody because then we’re going to get overrun and then we’re going to get dominated. It’s choices. And what’s leading to us having to make those choices,” said Cassar.
He noted that it’s clear that the refs are “calling things tight,” but the guys just need to wait for the league to adjust this season.
