Real Salt Lake finished Saturday’s match in a draw, but more importantly, with a shutout. After weeks of frustration, Head Coach Jeff Cassar has been eager to see his team with some kind of reward. The shutout was just that. In a recent article by James Edward from the Desert News, Cassar emphasizes on what the shutout means for RSL and their confidence as a team.

Now, with confidence on the defensive end, Real looks to build confidence on the offensive end and hit the net more often than not and Cassar believes they can do it.
ā€œWe have to keep believing in the things that we’re doing. We’re doing a lot of things right. Not being rewarded for it,ā€ he said. ā€œMyself, staff and players, we have full confidence in all of our players … but right now I feel it’s my son’s soccer net that he’s playing on, it’s just small right now.ā€
With all that said, RSL will have a couple games this week where they will have opportunities to find the back of the net.
