Monarchs Earn Shutout in Scoreless Draw with Colorado Springs

Sandy, Utah (Monday, August 8, 2016) In the third and final meeting of the season between Real Monarchs its Rocky Mountain rivals, Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, the two clubs battled to a scoreless draw Monday night at Rio Tinto Stadium.  Monarchs goalkeeper Lalo Fernandez finished the night with five saves to earn his fifth shutout of the season as the Monarchs move to 6-11-5 while Colorado Springs is now 9-6-7 after the two teams split the season series at 1-1-1.
