Jefferson Savarino Named to MLS Team of the Week 


Real Salt Lake midfielder Jefferson Savarino has been named to MLS Team of the Week for week 21 following the team’s 3-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City. Savarino was named to the TOTW starting lineup.

After missing RSL's previous match against Atlanta due to injury, Savarino returned to the starting XI in style against Kansas City. The Venezuelan assisted Pablo Ruiz's goal in the 64 minute before scoring himself seven minutes later in the 71 minute. The Claret-and-Cobalt's number 11 put on a show in front of a Club record tenth consecutive sell-out and the first Sunday sell-out since 2015.

This is the ninth time Savarino has been named to the's Team of the Week, and the second time this season.
