If the Season Ended Today ... Playoff Scenarios and Remaining Schedules in the West

We’ve got just over one month left in the MLS regular season and teams are jockeying for position in the Western Conference standings as the 2018 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs draw nearer.  Each week, we take a look at the table and the remaining schedules for the teams in playoff contention.  With playoff dates now set, we will also look at where each team would match up … if the season ended today.

At the top of the West, Sporting Kansas City jumped into the No. 1 seed with FC Dallas close behind, putting those two clubs in the Conference Semifinal Round.  Meanwhile, LAFC would host Seattle Sounders FC in one game of the Knockout Round while the other would see Real Salt Lake travel to face the Portland Timbers.

What is your feeling on the way the final two months look for RSL and the rest of the West?  Let us know in the comments section below.
