Man of the Match: Real Salt Lake Goalkeeper Zac MacMath made two saves to earn his 48th career shutout and the seventh of the season in his 172 career appearances. MacMath is now just three saves away from reaching the 500 career saves milestone. He’ll be only the second keeper in Real Salt Lake history when he reaches the mark, joining Club legend Nick Rimando who finished his career with 1,712 saves in 514 games.

Telling Stat: Tonight’s scoreless draw with Columbus Crew marks the Club’s seventh shutout of the season, tying RSL’s total in both the 2021 and 2020 seasons with half of the 2022 season still remaining. MacMath is currently second among MLS goalkeepers in clean sheets, behind only New York City FC goalkeeper Sean Johnson who has recorded eight. MacMath also leads the league in saves, making 61 saves across 17 matches.

What You Missed: In a battle of the trenches, Real Salt Lake drew 0-0 with Columbus Crew in front of its eighth consecutive sellout crowd, a club record for most consecutive sellouts. The Claret-and-Cobalt also earned their seventh shutout of the season in a match that saw the return of Jonathan Menendez from injury, his first match since March 26.
