Real Salt Lake was proud to announce Kaleb Stanger as its Ford Season Ticket Member of the Match. Stanger was honored at RSL’s home match against the Vancouver Whitecaps on August 20.
To start off his birthday weekend, Stanger visited the stadium on Friday to take in the sights and sounds of RSL’s open practice. Then on Saturday when he stepped onto the field at halftime, he was serenaded by the home crowd with a lively rendition of “happy birthday”.
While Stanger has only been a RSL season ticket holder since April, he already feels right at home amongst the crowd.
“I plan to be a season ticket holder for years to come,” said Stanger.
One of the players he admires most is Aaron Herrera and he’s even come up with a nickname for the RSL defender.
“I want to propose the nickname “The Rio Tinto Reaper” to Aaron Herrera after Sergio Ramos of Real Madrid known who was known as the Bernabeu Butcher for his aggressive tackles and intense play,” said Stanger. “I feel Aaron plays the same and has just as much heart.”
Come join Stanger and the rest of the packed house in Sandy for our next home match against Minnesota United on August 31. Get your tickets now at RSL.com.
