Real Monarchs SLC (2-2-2, 8 points); San Antonio FC (2-3-1, 7 points)

Player to Watch – Forward Éver Guzmán, in his third straight season with San Antonio FC, continues to prove his value in the attacking front. Having scored two goals in the last two games, contributing to the San Antonio wins over Las Vegas Lights FC and LA Galaxy II, Guzmán’s form is seeming to improve within the last few games. The 31-year-old Mexican star has tallied seven shots on target with five finding the back of the net so far this season. Proven deadly from a close range, Guzmán will be a player to watch when Real Monarchs host San Antonio FC on Saturday.

History – San Antonio FC hold a lead over Real Monarchs in the all-time series between the two, after picking up wins both times the teams met in 2018, moving the series lead to 3-1-1. The last clash was at Zions Bank Stadium in September, in match that saw San Antonio snap the Monarchs home undefeated streak after 13 games undefeated. San Antonio has been one of the greatest foes for Real Monarchs, as the Salt Lake side has not come out on top since 2016.

Last Five – San Antonio is on rebound from a rough patch within the last five games holding a record of 2-3-0. After three straight losses, the Texan team picked up two back-to-back wins over Las Vegas Lights FC and LA Galaxy II with 2-1 and 2-0 score lines, respectively. San Antonio has yet to win on the road this season however, dropping the three points in the two away matches it has played so far this season. Real Monarchs will be the next test when the two meet once again on Saturday at Zions Bank Stadium where the Monarchs currently hold a 2-0-1 record.
