Real Monarchs SLC (6-1-1, 19 points); Fresno FC (2-2-6, 12 points)

Players to Watch ā Fresno FC winger Jemal Johnson is a threat in the midfield, with both pace and the ability to create one-on-one situations going forward. Having come up through Manchester Unitedās youth academy, having played in England for Blackburn Rovers, Wolverhampton and M.K. Dons before landing at Fresno FC in January of 2018. The newly signed winger has transitioned into his role of central midfielder well, notching four goals to his name so far this season, two of which coming from his last three matches. The 33-year-old seems to have plenty left in the tank, causing problems for defenders across the league.
History ā With Fresno FC being a newly formed team in the USL, the two sides have yet to cross paths. With a clean slate in the series, the Monarchs will look to finish their four-game stretch at home against a win against an unfamiliar foe.
Last Five ā The Foxes currently sit middle of the western conference in 9th place with 12 points. Fresno has been bent but not broken early in the season, leading the league in draws with six. With draws accounting for half of its points, Fresno has tied five of their last six matches, with a loss coming at the hands of San Antonio FC. Both teams have a quick turnaround after having matches last Wednesday night with Fresnoās ending in a 2-2 draw with an inconsistent RGV Toros side. The two will clash at Zion Bank Stadium on Saturday with no past to dwell on, but plenty to look forward to.
