Fast Facts: Real Salt Lake, Deep in the Heart of Texas -

Player to Watch – Mauro Manotas leads the Dynamo in scoring with 11 goals.  He has scored two of Houston’s last three goals, dating back five matches to July 21.  With Alberth Elis out due to suspension, Manotas will be even more relied upon by Houston in its attack.

Matchup to Watch – Rest vs. Rotation.  Houston hasn’t played since Saturday, while Real Salt Lake had a grueling mid-week contest with LAFC.  It’s a small factor, but the extra travel, the midweek game and the jumbled training schedule are all hurdles Real Salt Lake will have to contend with before a ball is kicked at BBVA Compass Stadium.  Just how Mike Petke and his crew dealt with that adverse schedule will be evident in the first 20 minutes of the match.

All-Time Record – Real Salt Lake is 9-12-6 all-time against Houston, and is now even in scoring at 38-38 through 27 matches.

Last 5 Head-to-Head – RSL is 1-3-1 against the Dynamo over the last five matches, last earning a result at BBVA Compass Stadium in the midst of a five-game winning streak in the series in 2015.  The lone victory over the last five matches came in May at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Last 5 Overall – Houston is 0-4-1 in the last five as part of a winless streak that goes back six matches (0-4-2 since July 14).
