HERRIMAN, UT (Monday, April 6, 2026) – Following his one-goal, two assist performance in Real Salt Lake’s 3-1 home win over Sporting Kansas City Saturday, emerging young RSL starlet Zavier Gozo has been named to MLSsoccer.com’s Week 6 “Team of the Matchday” starting XI. The 19-year-old Utah native earned a secondary assist on Diego Luna’s fourth-minute opener, set up RSL rookie Sergi Solans on his game-winner, and sent the 20,000-plus at America First Field into a frenzy with his 82nd-minute insurance goal, yet another highlight-reel blast for the USA U-20 standout.
One of Gozo’s teammates, staunch and versatile midfielder Noel Caliskan, was also honored by inclusion in the fictional team’s bench selections, as the former Real Monarchs man assisted on both the Luna opener and the Gozo closer. The German-born Caliskan was everywhere on Saturday, dictating tempo and possession with his ball-winning efforts, covering extensive ground defensively next to new partner Stijn Spierings, and often creating dangerous attacking opportunities with his line-breaking passing decisions and ability to combine with RSL’s vaunted attacking five.
Saturday's win extended RSL’s active unbeaten streak to five games thus far in the 2026 season, including a perfect 3-0-0 mark on Utah soil. Head Coach Pablo Mastroeni’s side has now won 11 games, drawing two and dropping just three of its last 16 matches since June 1, 2025, at its America First Field fortress, with an overall streak of five consecutive wins and eight straight sellouts extended by the 3-1 win over rival Kansas City.
RSL now enjoys another bye week - its originally-scheduled Sunday, April 12 trip to Seattle is now postponed until September 23 - ahead of two more home games this month, as the Claret-and-Cobalt welcome West power San Diego FC on Saturday, April 18, in a rematch of the dramatic 2-2 draw in Southern California late last month. Four days later, RSL welcomes the star-studded defending MLS Cup champions Inter Miami CF on Wednesday, April 22.
