Diego Luna Named To Team Of The Matchday

Real Salt Lake Homegrown midfielder **Diego Luna** has been named to the MLSsoccer.com’s Major League Soccer Team of the Matchday for Matchday 38 following the team’s 1-0 win over Rocky Mountain Cup rivals, Colorado Rapids. This is Luna's second time being named in the MLS TOTM Starting XI this season.

Since being named in the prestigious MLS 22 under 22 list two weeks ago, Luna has now scored in back to back games for RSL. Last week, he scored late against the LA Galaxy to earn the Claret-and-Cobalt a hard fought draw, and then this weekend he sealed the game winner against Colorado to take all three points back to Utah. Luna, who's impressed all season with his creative flair and slick passing, has started to heat up at the perfect time for RSL as the Club enters the MLS postseason for the 13th time in 16 years.

RSL's Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs campaign kicks off next Sunday, October 29 at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston against the fourth-seeded Dynamo, with a 4:00p MT kickoff. The second leg of the Round One “Best of Three” series will kick off at America First Field in Sandy on Monday, November 6 at 7:00p MT. Tickets for RSL’s first home playoff game since 2019 are now available.
