When Real Salt Lake opens the season on Saturday against the Timbers at Providence Park in Portland, there is expected to be a strong contingent of supporters making the trip to Portland for the match. However, for those that are staying in Utah, RSL is hosting a viewing party at 50 West Club and Café (50 W Broadway) downtown.
In addition to a viewing of the match broadcast on KMYU, those in attendance will also be treated to a game of RSL Trivia Showdown at halftime. There will be a raffle as well as appearances by Leo and the new Real Monarchs mascot.
This will be the first of six watch parties hosted at 50 West throughout the year. Additional watch parties will take place on May 27 (LA), August 1 (D.C.), September 12 (Houston), October 3 (Colorado) and October 25 (Seattle). More will also be held at the Gallivan Center on June 24 (New York Red Bulls), July 12 (Colorado) and August 29 (FC Dallas).
