Each week we take a look at how the experts view Real Salt Lake in relation to the rest of the league with their weekly power rankings. After a 2-2 draw in Portland on Saturday moved RSL to a 1-0-2 RSL climbed the rankings on MLSsoccer.com, but fell in both SI.com and ESPNFC.com’s rankings.

“Tough to have too much confidence in a team that just can't stop giving up late goals, but the Power Rankings Politburo loves to watch the front three of Joao Plata, Yura Movsisyan and Burrito Martinez. If they can add a quality defender, RSL will be a problem for everybody in this league.”
SI.com – 16
"For the second time this year, RSL squandered a multi-goal lead in the second half when the Timbers clawed back for a 2-2 draw; it didn’t help that RSL was down to nine men by the final whistle."
ESPNFC.com – 16
“RSL should count themselves lucky to escape Portland with 2-2 draw after going down to nine men. Kyle Beckerman's red card was his first since 2012 despite that the midfielder is the all-time MLS leader in fouls committed.”
