Power Rankings: RSL Slips After 1-0 Loss

Each week we take a look at how the experts view Real Salt Lake in relation to the rest of the league with their weekly power rankings.  After a 1-0 defeat to the Colorado Rapids on Saturday in the first of five straight road matches, RSL fell from the top spot at MLSsoccer.com, but how far would they fall on SI.com and ESPNFC.com?  Let’s take a look at the thoughts from around the internet.

MLSsoccer.com – 4
“Tested Zac MacMath by putting six shots on target, but weren't as dangerous as they could have been and got punished for the one time they took a nap. So it goes.”

SI.com – 3
“RSL had plenty of possession and looked vaguely threatening against Colorado, but nothing they tried seems to really test the opposition goalkeeper. It is to RSL’s credit, though, that they were able to grind out what could easily have been a well-earned 0-0 draw were it not for a moment of magic from Jones.”

ESPNFC.com – 4
“Jeff Cassar's team was shut out for the first time in 2016, but while the loss to a rival in Colorado will sting, there's plenty of reasons to remain positive in Utah.”
