After a good showing on the first day of voting, Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando has advanced to the semifinals for Week 2's Save of the Week on MLSsoccer.com. Rimando stopped a Chad Marshall header in Saturday's 2-1 win over Seattle to earn the nomination and won in the first round, earning 57% of the vote in a matchup with Toronto FC's Clint Irwin.
On the play, an Andreas Ivanschitz corner kick bounced through the box to the right side where Clint Dempsey put it back in the mixer for Marshall who slammed his header on frame only to have Rimando come up with the key save.
