Each week pundits around the web rank the 20 teams in Major League Soccer in their own power rankings.

Here at RealSaltLake.com, we like to see where each of those experts places Real Salt Lake, so here is what they are saying after Week 8 when RSL fell 4-0 to the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium.  RSL saw a drop across the board after suffering its first regular season defeat to an Eastern Conference opponent since July 27, 2013, but remain in the Top 10 in all three major rankings.

“They looked very much like a team playing without their starting central defense in New England.  Most worrying for RSL fans, though, is that this group was never able to put its foot on the ball and change the rhythm of the game.  That's been a staple in Utah for nearly a decade.”

ESPNFC.com – 10

“The play of goalkeeper Jeff Attinella was about the only positive against New England, a game in which he received precious little support from RSL's makeshift back line.  At least next week Real will get Jamison Olave back.”

SI.com – 9

“After going five games unbeaten to open 2015, RSL has lost two in a row to teams that could be contenders at the end of the year.”
