MLS Power Rankings from around the web: Scoreless tie draws mixed reactions

Team vs. Kansas City 0411

Each week pundits around the web rank the 20 teams in Major League Soccer in their own power rankings.

Here at RealSaltLake.com, we like to see where each of those experts places Real Salt Lake, so here is what they are saying after Week 6 after a scoreless draw at Sporting Kansas City.  In ESPN’s rankings, RSL rose one spot, while SI.com had the Claret-and-Cobalt dropping a spot and MLSsoccer.com stood pat.

MLSsoccer.com – 5

“Only have two run-of-play goals in five games, but they're unbeaten and have posted three shutouts in that span. So it hasn't been pretty, but "effective" has its own aesthetic appeal.”

ESPNFC.com – 3

“No goals, no shots on target, yet another decent away result for RSL, who have yet to concede a goal on the road this season. Is it too early to worry about RSL's offensive struggles? Let's see what a run of three home games out of four yields.”

SI.com – 6

“RSL returned to the site of its (2013) MLS Cup final loss and couldn't muster a shot on target but remained undefeated nonetheless in a goalless draw.”
