Thirty-two times this season goalkeepers have made the heart-stopping saves that brought their fans to their feet while breaking the spirits of the opposition.
RSL has seven entries in the MLS Save of the Year and fans can vote for Nick Rimando and Jeff Attinella’s heroics over the next week.
Attinella made a diving save to shield a 19-yard blast from Colorado’s Kamani Hill, then recovered to block a putback effort off the rebound in a match RSL went on to win 2-1 over the Rapids amidst a 12-match unbeaten streak to start the season.
