MONTERREY, MEXICO (Monday, April 18, 2011) – THIS AFTERNOON AT 1:00 P.M. MT, Real Salt Lake Founder and Co-Owner Dave Checketts, Head Coach Jason Kreis, captain Kyle Beckerman and goalkeeper Nick Rimando will discuss the upcoming CONCACAF Champions League (CCL) Final against Monterrey of Mexico. Real Salt Lake plays at reigning Mexican League champion Monterrey this Wednesday, April 20 (8:00 p.m. MT on FOX Soccer and TeleFutura) in the first leg of the two-leg, aggregate goals final. The second leg is Wednesday, April 27 (8:00 p.m. MT on FOX Soccer and TeleFutura) at Rio Tinto Stadium.
Real Salt Lake is the first Major League Soccer club to advance to the final of CCL, which expanded to its current format in 2008. RSL also has the opportunity to become the first MLS club since 2000 to win the regional club championship and the first MLS club to play in the FIFA Club World Cup.
