Over the last five years, MLSsoccer.com has rated the top 24 players under the age of 24 in their annual 24 Under 24 feature. That list is set to be unveiled starting on September 22, but the site announced a preliminary list of 75 players under consideration for the final list on Tuesday. Among those 75 players are six Real Salt Lake players.
Jordan Allen, Olmes Garcia, Luis Gil, Justen Glad, Joao Plata and Elias Vasquez all are on the final 75-man list, giving RSL third-most representatives behind only the nine players from Vancouver Whitecaps FC and seven players from FC Dallas. All 20 MLS teams have at least one representative on the list, with Seattle Sounders FC and D.C. United the only teams with just one player.
Last year, RSL had three players on the 24 Under 24 list – Plata at No. 7, Gil at No. 8 and Garcia at No. 21.
