Utah Royals FC Loans Midfielder Aria Nagai To Dallas Trinity FC For Remainder of 2026 Season

HERRIMAN, Utah (Friday, July 31, 2026) - Utah Royals FC today announced the loan of midfielder Aria Nagai to Dallas Trinity FC through the remainder of the 2026 season.

Throughout her professional career in the NWSL, Nagai has logged 675 minutes and made 21 appearances for the Royals. During the 2026 campaign, the midfielder has earned one start, logging 93 minutes, and making five appearances. 

Nagai started her collegiate career with the Princeton Tigers, playing three seasons with the team from 2021 to 2023, totaling 55 appearances and notching 2 goals, while earning her bachelor’s. She then joined the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2024 as a graduate transfer, starting all 27 games and scoring three goals during her season there. 

Joining the Utah Royals as a non-roster trialist prior to the 2025 season, the second-year midfielder signed with the Royals on March 4th. On April 25th, she made her professional debut, coming on for Cece Delzer during a match against the Houston Dash. She got her first professional start on July 29th, facing off against the Orlando Pride.

Nagai joins Dallas Trinity FC of the USLW, where the club finished fourth during the 2026 USLW season with 28 points and an 11-10-7 record. Founded in 2023, Dallas Trinity FC is entering its third season, its first under USL Dallas ownership. The club plays its home matches at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas.
