HERRIMAN, Utah (Monday, September 7, 2026) - Utah Royals FC announced today the signing of forward Jameese Joseph from Chicago Stars FC for $750,000 with add-ons up to $840,000 in intraleague transfer funds.
The Maryland native attended North Carolina State University, where she had a prolific scoring collegiate career that concluded with her ranked sixth in program history for shots (237) and eighth in starts (87). Earning All-Conference honors four of five years of her college career, Joseph tallied 24 goals and 10 assists between 2019-2023.
After being selected 15th overall by the Chicago Red Stars (now Chicago Stars) in the 2024 NWSL Draft, Joseph enjoyed a positive rookie season netting three goals and two assists before continuing to showcase her high-level scoring abilities with four goals and two assists in 2025. The forward netted her first goal of the 2026 season, opening up the scoring for Chicago in the 3-2 victory against Racing Louisville on August 23.
The 24-year-old forward continues to showcase a high-level ability to score and create chances for her teammates, she has proven to beat defenders with both the ball at her feet and by making creative runs in the attacking third. Joseph is a highly versatile forward whose explosive speed and dynamic abilities on and off the ball will be a boost to the URFC attack.
At the international level, the forward has joined United States Women’s Youth National Team camps in 2016 and 2022. Joseph has since been called up by USWNT Head Coach Emma Hayes, making her senior team debut on November 28, 2025 in the squad's 3-0 victory over Italy.
As the Utah Royals head into its final matches of the 2026 season looking to make a playoff push for the first time in the club’s history, Joseph is an attacking weapon that bolsters the URFC attack while also adding depth, high-level striking abilities and speed to the squad.
