The weather delay policy at America First Field is for all events at the facility.
AFF Weather Delay Policy
In the event of a lightning delay, the match, concert, or event will be delayed for 30 minutes since the latest strike within eight miles of the stadium. Coordination is done in conjunction with the National Weather Service and local meteorologist.
During lightning delays or other weather delays including tornados, blizzards, etc., guests are encouraged to seek shelter in a covered area. Safe locations in the building include restrooms, the team store, the guest services office, and lobbies. Clubs and suites remain open to their members during lightning delays.
Guests are also allowed to return to the vehicles to seek cover, and then return to the stadium once the delay is complete. However, upon reentry, security screening will be required.
There will be updates over the PA system, and graphics on the video board in the stadium. Guest can also get live updates from Real Salt Lake and Utah Royals social media accounts linked here:
Additionally, QR codes are located throughout the stadium that guests can use to opt into text messages for updates on delays using our fan communication software, TITAN HST.
