Quote Sheet from Real Monarchs vs Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC

The Monarchs dominated the first half of the game, knocking on the door of the Switchbacks FC goal. MF Luis Palma and FW Luis Arriaga took control quickly, putting Colorado’s goalkeeper Abraham Rodrigues to the test and hitting the woodwork multiple times in the first half. Colorado nearly notched a goal in the first, after midfielder Shane Malcom got in a dangerous spot, but a perfect sliding tackle by MF Luke Mulholland within the penalty area kept score clean going into the halftime break.

The pressure from Real Monarchs in the second half as the side continued to put a stop to the Switchbacks offense to test the Switchbacks FC backline. It was German who found the game-winner, being in the right spot to meet the end of a cross from FW Julian Vazquez to head home his first professional goal to secure the three points at home.
