URFC Top 3 Home and Away Matches You Don't Want to Miss

Utah Royals FC head into their second season as members of the National Women’s Soccer League with redemption on their mind after finishing their just two points away from a playoff berth.

Thursday, URFC announced its 2019 regular season slate.  And even though we know you'll be at every home game, here are six matches to get excited about.

2019 Home Games to Attend
Washington Spirit: Home Opener April 20

URFC will face the Washington Spirit at Rio Tinto Stadium in its home opener Saturday, April 20 at 7:00 P.M. MT. Hopefully, the only match against the Spirit at home is as good as 2018.  Not only did URFC record its first ever club win against Washington, they went unbeaten in all three matches versus the side from the nation's capital.

Chicago Red Stars: May 3

The Chicago Red Stars will only visit Utah once during the regular season.  The Royals got a little bit of "revenge" with a 2-1 victory to finish off 2018. However, the crew that spoiled homecoming will always ruffle up some ill feelings whenever they come to town.

Portland Thorns: July 19

After traveling to the Oregon coast twice in 2018, the Thorns have to venture to the better side of the Rockies this year.  Will those games result in our first victories over Portland, too?

2019 Away Games to Watch
Orlando Pride: April 27

History was made in Orlando in 2018 when URFC opened its inaugural season on the road, scoring the first goal & tallying the first points in club history.   Does ‘Gunny’ Jónsdóttir have more magic up her sleeve?

North Carolina Courage: May 19

Last season, URFC was the thorn in the champs side. URFC defeated the Courage in their own building on a Brittany Ratcliffe wonder strike to snap Carolina's 12-game winning streak. Ratcliffe's 94th minute golazo made the rounds on SportsCenter & ended up being the only blemish on Carolina's record setting season.

Reign FC: August 11

URFC will travel to a new venue when it faces Seattle Reign FC.  This season, the Reign will play their home matches at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Washington. Cheney Stadium is home to the Tacoma Rainiers Minor League Baseball team and the Seattle Sounders FC 2.
