RSL's Mike Petke suspended, fined after postgame criticism of officials

Following his ejection and widely-circulated postgame criticism of match officials on Saturday, Real Salt Lake head coach Mike Petke has been suspended an additional game and fined $10,000 by MLS Commissioner Don Garber.

The extra game suspension was for on-field conduct during the match against Minnesota, on top of the automatic one-game suspension as a result of being ejected for the game. The fine was issued for the use of abusive and profane language directed at officials and uncontrollable behavior when he was ejected from the game and for public criticism of officials during a postgame press conference.

This was the third disciplinary action against Petke in total, twice for public criticism of officials and once for improperly interacting with game officials.
