The Real Monarchs have played 32 games and have completed the regular season with its 2-1 victory over LA Galaxy II on Saturday. With the win, the Monarchs remain atop the USL rankings headed into the playoffs this Friday. Here is what the folks at the USL had to say about the Monarchs after its final match of the regular season:

The Monarchs will go into the postseason off a victory, the league-leading 12th at home this season. Real is now undefeated in its last five games, winning three of its last four outings, including a 2-0 win on the road against its opponent in the Western Conference Quarterfinals, Sacramento Republic FC. The Monarchs shouldn’t overlook the experience Sacramento brings but is in position to add to its USL Regular Season Championship.

The Monarchs capped off an impressive USL regular season with another Western Conference win on Saturday and will now head into the USL Cup Playoffs undefeated in five games. The club, which claimed the 2017 USL Regular Season Championship by securing 67 points in 32 games this campaign, will be the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference and host the eighth-seeded Sacramento Republic FC or OKC Energy FC this upcoming weekend.”

The Monarchs will host Sacramento Republic FC in the Western Conference Quarterfinal on Oct. 20 with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. at Rio Tinto Stadium. Tickets to the match can be purchased at the Rio Tinto Stadium box office and www.RSL.com/Monarchs/Schedule.
