Getting to the RioT is still taking a little bit longer than usual due to the ongoing construction on I-15.
Here is an update on what is happening from our friends at UDOT:
UDOT is constructing a crossing under 10600 South that connects the I-15 northbound off-ramp to Monroe Street. This will ease off-ramp congestion and increase safety. The 10600 South interchange is scheduled to close Friday, September 8, after the evening commute and reopen Monday, September 25, before the morning commute. This closure is necessary to install the crossing structure under 10600 South and resurface the bridge deck.
During the closure, drivers southbound on I-15 will be allowed to exit westbound and drivers on eastbound 10600 South will be allowed to enter I-15 southbound. All other traffic movements will be closed (see map). For detour routes, or for more information about the project, visit udot.utah.gov/southvalleyimprovements.
