Traveling to the RioT on Friday is going to take a little longer than usual.
There is ongoing construction in the 9000 S area.
Please be aware & plan accordingly.

Construction Activities: June 28 - July 5
Construction schedules are subject to change due to utility, material, weather and equipment delays.
Note: In observance for the Independence Day holiday, there will be no construction activities between Friday, June 30 at 3 p.m. and Wednesday, July 5 at 6 a.m.
Southbound Off Ramp
Crews are working on material removals, drainage improvements and preparation for new concrete pavement.
Northbound Off Ramp
A lane closure to accommodate a new traffic shift will take place tonight from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. tomorrow. By tomorrow morning, traffic will be shifted to the left/west as crews work on the east shoulder. Construction activities are expected to include material removals.
Northbound On Ramp
Expect intermittent traffic restrictions during non-peak travel times as crews conduct utility investigations.
Be Alert
Construction vehicles/personnel are entering and exiting the area. Please be alert when traveling through the construction zone.
Project Overview
UDOT plans to improve the interchange located at I-15 and 9000 South by adding additional lanes to the ramps and widening 9000 South, east of I-15 to Monroe Street. Construction is ongoing and is expected to continue through October 2017.

Improvements Include:

  • Southbound off ramp lane additions
  • Northbound off ramp lane additions
  • Northbound on ramp lane additions
  • Road widening on westbound 9000 south from I-15 to Monroe Street
  • Lane additions to the on and off ramps
  • Signal Modifications
  • Alleviated traffic congestion
