Real Salt Lake earned a point against a top-ranked FC Dallas team in an important home match on Saturday night. As the regular season is nearing the end, Real is looking to gain points to jockey for postseason positioning, earning a valuable point against a division rival.


James Edward of the Desert News reported on the match Saturday night, giving fans who missed the game some insight on what happened and some foreshadowing from the coaches on what lies ahead.


Goalkeeper Nick Rimando also chimed in with his thoughts on the match along with his optimism regarding the team and moving forward.


“We wanted to win at home. I think you guys could see that we’re going for the win, pressing forward, we created a lot of chances. It’s a result,” said Rimando. “I think we played a lot better than last week against Houston, and we’ve just got to keep moving forward.”
