Real Salt Lake finished Saturday’s match in a draw, but more importantly, with a shutout. After weeks of frustration, Head Coach Jeff Cassar has been eager to see his team with some kind of reward. The shutout was just that. In a recent article by James Edward from the Desert News, Cassar emphasizes on what the shutout means for RSL and their confidence as a team.

Now, with confidence on the defensive end, Real looks to build confidence on the offensive end and hit the net more often than not and Cassar believes they can do it.
“We have to keep believing in the things that we’re doing. We’re doing a lot of things right. Not being rewarded for it,” he said. “Myself, staff and players, we have full confidence in all of our players … but right now I feel it’s my son’s soccer net that he’s playing on, it’s just small right now.”
With all that said, RSL will have a couple games this week where they will have opportunities to find the back of the net.
