Now entering his 17th season in Major League Soccer, Nick Rimando swears by one thing that wins games and championships - defense. Chris Kamrani from The Salt Lake Tribune reported on how much defense needs to be the goal for RSL this year.
In the first part of preseason training done in California, that was the main focus. Their second focus was on their newer formation they switched to last season.
"At times [the new look] was nice, but a lot of the time, it wasn't," Rimando said. "I think this year is another year under our belt that we can improve on that style and play. But again, we're not going to win games if defensively we're not together out there and playing hard defense."
