The MLSsoccer.com Save of the Year tournament has advanced to the Quarterfinal Round and Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando has assured himself of a spot in the Semifinal Round. Two of his three saves advanced to the Quarterfinals and will square off head-to-head for a spot in the Semifinals.
Rimando topped Steve Clark of the Columbus Crew in one matchup while the other was a competition between two of his own saves.
Now, the Wall of the Wasatch will have one of his saves in the Semifinals. So will it be his point-blank stop on Rodney Wallace to shutout the Porltand Timbers or his stunning display of athleticism against Chris Wondolowski of the the San Jose Earthquakes to advance?
