SANDY, Utah / CHICAGO (Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015) – Tickets for the October 10/13 semifinal and final rounds of the 2015 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying Championship, to be played at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah, go on sale this week, as 2015 Real Salt Lake (MLS) / Real Monarchs (USL) Season Ticket Holders have 22-hours of pre-public access on Wednesday, with tickets on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. MT.
Rio Tinto Stadium will host the Semifinal doubleheader on Saturday, Oct. 10, with kickoffs slated for 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. MT, while Tuesday, Oct. 13 will see the Final (8:00 p.m. MT) preceded by the Third-Place Match (5:00 p.m. MT).
2015 Real Salt Lake season ticket holders can purchase tickets to the doubleheader events beginning TOMORROW, Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 10:00 a.m. MT at RealSaltLake.com, until 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10.
On Friday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. MT, the general public can purchase tickets through ussoccer.com, by phone at 801-727-2700 (Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and at the Rio Tinto Stadium ticket office (open Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
The winners of the semifinal matches at Rio Tinto Stadium will qualify for the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics and advance to the Oct. 13 final, while the losers will meet in the third-place match. The third-place winner will qualify for the CONCACAF–CONMEBOL playoff, where it will face Colombia in a final opportunity to qualify for the Olympics in Rio.
A total of eight teams will compete in the Olympic Qualifying Championship: three from North America (direct qualifiers: Canada, Mexico and the United States), three from Central America (Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica) and two from the Caribbean (Haiti, Cuba). The USA was seeded as the tournament host in Group A where it will be joined by Canada, Panama and Cuba. The U.S. opens group play against Canada on Oct. 1, then faces Cuba on Oct. 3 and Panama on Oct. 10. The top two teams from Group A and Group B will advance to the semifinals.
