LA Galaxy 1-0 Real Salt Lake

REAL SALT LAKE HEAD COACH JEFF CASSAR
On his thoughts of the game:
"I think we lost the game in the first 10 minutes, anytime you are giving away a penalty kick, it is a goal that is really not earned, it is kind of given to them. We gifted them one, after that I thought we settled down, applied pressure, and it was a game that if our final balls were just a hare better, or we are receiving the final balls just a hare better it could be a different night because I thought we put ourselves in some decent spots to get opportunities, it just didn't have it tonight."
On giving up a penalty kick in four of the last five games:
"It gets frustrating for me, it gets frustrating for the players, for the fans. It’s difficult, but we have to be better at that, again I sure don't want to put the decisions of the referees in their hands and if we stay on our feet, if we do this, or get better in certain areas, then we don't rely on referees decisions. That penalty really came off of a giveaway, from I believe Jamison in the middle and then it was one, two passes, and they didn't break us down, they didn't do anything, but we gave them one."
On heading to Vancouver:
"Anytime you are playing against west opponents, it is critical to get a result, get three points, get a tie, so there are not any gaps between anybody, and then you make your moves at home. We have a capable team of going in there and getting three points, obviously we want to get a shutout on the road, but guys are getting healthier, getting fitter, but it is clear that we have to get fitter too."
REAL SALT LAKE GOALKEEPER NICK RIMANDO
On giving up the early penalty kick:
"It's frustrating for sure, yea. You never want penalty kicks called against you, especially in the beginning of the game because now you are chasing it, but we got to deal with it, we have been dealing with it all year. It is frustrating but you got to move forward and I thought we did quite well; we put that behind us in the second half and got quite a few chances. I don't want to keep talking about the penalty kicks, it is what it is, we lost 1-0 and we got a short time to get things right and focus on Vancouver."
On Juninho taking the penalty:
"I wouldn't tell you if he did give me a different look than last time, he put it in this time, I saved it last time. It is just instinct, you just go with it and I don't think too much on who is taking it, for me it is about saving the ball and don't let it hit the back of the net."
On getting a result in Vancouver:
"I think every game we want to win, we thought we did enough to get a result here, every game right now is important to us, we need to get three points. Right now it is about finding our identity and really grinding out these points, if it is ugly its ugly, because right now they are not coming so I would rather have three ugly points than no points at all."
REAL SALT LAKE DEFENDER TONY BELTRAN
On the penalty kick call:
“It’s a combination of a lot of things. I need to re-watch the play. From what I saw, it was pretty unlucky. From what I saw he makes a good play and the ball bounces up and hits his hands. Eventually those kind of plays are going to go your way sometimes as well over the course of the season and when that happens next game you have to tune in a little bit more mentally in those areas of the field and try to get a little sharper.”
On building momentum with the upcoming long home stretch:
“Yea, I mean, a little bit. We came into this game today and we said before the match let’s string two wins together and let’s get another result here, let’s get something out of this game and so it’s disappointing from that aspect because we all thought we were in the game for the entirety of the 90 minutes. Vancouver it’s the same mindset, we’ll go there and try to defend well and get the zero. Give ourselves the best opportunity to get some points.”
