Four RSL players to face off in Tuesday's US-Costa Rica Gold Cup match

Beckerman, Beltran, Rimando, Saborio international - 03.26.13

SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake’s four internationals will again be in CONCACAF Gold Cup action on Tuesday night: This time, though, they’ll be facing off against each other.

RSL Captain Kyle Beckerman, defender Tony Beltran, goalkeeper Nick Rimando and the U.S. national team will take on Claret-and-Cobalt forward Alvaro Saborio and Costa Rica in Hartford at 6:00 p.m. MT on Tuesday night. The match – which will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel – will decide the Group C winner, with the U.S. needing a win or a draw to take the group title and Los Ticos needing to win to finish in first in the group.

Both teams enter the game with six points through their first two matches and both have already qualified for the Gold Cup Quarterfinals. Don’t think this match means nothing, though. Along with being the first real test for both sides, critical Knockout Stage seeding is at stake, along with some serious bragging rights in the RSL locker room.

Both sides will be back in action on Sunday for the Quarterfinals in Baltimore. The Group C winner will likely take on El Salvador in the Quarters, while the runner-up will face off against Honduras.
