SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Josh Saunders is up for MLS Save of the Week!
On fill-in duty for U.S. international Nick Rimando, Saunders is nominated for his incredible 1-v-1 stop on Philadelphia's Sebastien Le Toux in the 93rd minute of last Wednesday's 2-2 draw against Philadelphia. The save preserved a point for the Claret-and-Cobalt, which scored four minutes later to salvage a point from the Union.
Saunders is up against San Jose's Jon Busch, Vancouver's Brad Knighton, Portland's Donovan Ricketts and Dallas's Raul Fernandez. Rimando won Save of the Week last week for a stop in RSL's 1-0 win over Toronto on June 29. This is Saunders' first Save of the Week nomination this year.
Voting for Save of the Week runs until 12:59 a.m. MT on Friday. Click here to vote for Josh!
