SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake swept MLS's weekly honors for Week 18, with goalkeeper Nick Rimando taking home Save of the Week and midfielder Yordany Alvarez winning Goal of the Week for plays in the Claret-and-Cobalt's 1-0 win at Toronto last Saturday. This is the second time this year that RSL has swept the Save and Goal of the Week honors after Rimando and forward Robbie Findley did it in Week 14.

Rimando earned his fifth Save of the Week honor of 2013 for his diving stop on Toronto forward Jeremy Brockie in second-half stoppage time of RSL's 1-0 victory at BMO Field. The veteran 'keeper - now with the U.S. national team for the CONCACAF Gold Cup - took home nearly 50 percent of the vote, beating out Columbus's Andy Gruenebaum, San Jose's Jon Busch, Houston's Tally Hall and D.C.'s Bill Hamid. Alvarez earned RSL's fourth Goal of the Week honor of 2013 for his 20-yard laser that found the inside of the left post from outside the right edge of the area in the Utah side's 1-0 win at TFC. The goal was Alvarez's first in MLS. He beat out Montreal's Hassoun Camara, Kansas City's Kei Kamara, LA's Marcelo Sarvas and Montreal's Daniele Paponi to take home the honor. Real Salt Lake will return to action next Saturday, July 13, when it will take on Western Conference foe FC Dallas at FC Dallas Stadium.
