NT call ups no Will

Real Salt Lake captain Kyle Beckerman, leading scorer Álvaro Saborío and goalkeeper Nick Rimando will all be in action on Tuesday night for their respective national teams in CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers. RSL’s fourth international – midfielder Will Johnson – won’t be playing for Canada in Panama due to a yellow card suspension.

Here’s a quick rundown of Beckerman’s, Rimando’s and Saborío’s matches:

Kyle Beckerman – U.S. v. Jamaica – 6 p.m. MT – ESPN2

The U.S. team had a very rough go on Friday night, giving up two free kick goals to fall to Jamaica 2-1 in Kingston. Beckerman didn’t escape the carnage, conceding the foul and deflecting the shot that led to Jamaica’s first goal in 57 minutes of action.

The RSL captain will be hoping for a chance to redeem himself in Tuesday’s return match against the Reggae Boyz at Crew Stadium in Columbus. The pressure will certainly be high – the U.S. needs a win in the worst way following Friday’s disappointing loss.

Nick Rimando – U.S. v. Jamaica – 6 p.m. MT – ESPN2

Rimando wasn’t in Jamaica for the Americans’ disappointing defeat, joining the team in Columbus after playing in RSL’s 1-0 loss at Houston last Thursday. Rimando will likely be the U.S’s third-string goalie on Tuesday night, playing behind starter Tim Howard and backup Brad Guzan.

Álvaro Saborío – Costa Rica v. Mexico – 7 p.m. MT – Univision

Like Beckerman and the U.S., Saborío and the Ticos had a rough night on Friday, falling 2-0 to Mexico at home. Things won’t get any easier for Costa Rica on Tuesday night, when they’ll take on El Tri at the vaunted Estadio Azteca. Mexico will qualify for the final round of CONCACAF Qualifying with a win.
